When you use Localmail, you entrust data to Databanx. This Policy explains, in plain language, what data we collect, why we collect it, how we protect it and how you can exercise your rights.
Who we are
Databanx Tecnologia e Inovação LTDA ("Databanx"), headquartered in Brumado — Bahia, Brazil, is the controller of the personal data processed through this website and the Localmail platform, in compliance with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13,709/2018 — LGPD).
Data we collect
- Data you provide to us — name, business email, phone number and company, submitted through contact, registration or demo request forms;
- Account data — mailboxes, settings, contacts and signatures created by your organization on the platform;
- Usage data — access logs, IP address, date and time, browser and device type, collected automatically for security and auditing;
- Content of communications — messages and attachments transmitted through the platform, stored in encrypted form (see section 5).
Why we collect it
- Provide, maintain and improve the contracted business email service;
- Respond to contact, support and demo requests;
- Ensure account security and prevent fraud, spam and unauthorized access;
- Measure the platform's performance and availability;
- Comply with legal and regulatory obligations and orders from competent authorities.
Legal bases (LGPD)
We process personal data on the basis of contract performance (provision of the service), legitimate interest (platform security and improvement), consent (commercial communications, which you may withdraw at any time) and compliance with a legal obligation.
Content of messages
The content of your communications belongs to you and your organization. Messages are transmitted and stored with encryption, and we do not access, read or use the content of your emails for any purpose — including advertising — except where required by law or court order.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share data only with processors essential to the provision of the service (such as hosting infrastructure), always under contract and bound by the same protection obligations; with the contracting organization, in the case of mailboxes tied to its domain; or upon order from a competent authority.
Information security
We adopt technical and organizational measures such as encryption in transit and at rest, two-factor authentication, role-based access control, redundant backups and continuous monitoring. No system is 100% immune; in the event of a relevant incident, we will notify the data subjects and the ANPD as required by law.
Retention and deletion
We retain data for as long as necessary for the purposes of this Policy or for the duration of the contract. Once the service ends, data is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period, except for retention required by law (such as access logs, kept for 6 months in accordance with the Brazilian Internet Civil Framework — Marco Civil da Internet).
Your rights
Under the LGPD, you may request at any time: confirmation of processing, access, correction, anonymization, portability, deletion, information about data sharing and withdrawal of consent. To exercise them, use our Contact page — we respond within the legal timeframe.
Changes to this Policy
This Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in the service or in the law. Relevant changes will be communicated prominently, and the last updated date at the top will always be revised.
